COMPANY PROFILE

The Company was founded in January 1972 by James R. Watson, President and CEO. Before forming the Company, Mr. Watson received a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Real Estate Finance from San Jose State after which he spent a decade as an Appraiser, 1967 – 1971 as Chief Real Estate Appraiser and Director of Real Estate for Downey Savings and Loan.

Since its inception, the Company has focused on high quality, community sensitive development of mixed-use, residential, retail and office complexes exceeding $1 Billion in market value. With more than 35 developments in California, Oregon, Idaho and Washington, J. R. Watson & Associates Development Corporation prides itself on consistently developing projects that set new and higher standards for the community aesthetic. Residential projects by J. R. Watson & Associates Development Corporation integrate the environment and a sense of community into warm, inviting living spaces.

The company has also developed over one million square feet of neighborhood, downtown and specialty shopping centers that reflect this sensitivity to community needs. Furthermore J. R. Watson & Associates Development Corporation have completed over 25 redevelopment projects throughout Southern California.
