SAN BERNARDINO -- The look of a freeway exit can affect the way you view
a community.
That's what Councilman Chas Kelley says. And that's why
he pushed hard to beautify the intersate 215 northbound
off-ramp at University Parkway. |

There, crews are laying a river rock shouldr,
dotted with larger boulders, to line a few hundred feet along
the off-ramp. Palm trees and a flowering plum tree are also
planned, Kelly said.
The work is being done with a $20,000 donation from developer
Watson & Associates, which is matched by the city.
"It's about time we polished up a little, " Kelley says. |
