Literacy Center Gift Expanded to $200,000

In response to the needs and success of the CSUSB Literacy Center for Excellence, Watson & Associates has increased the $100,000 founding grant given to CSUSB by an additional $100,000.

Over 200 students have gone through the program within the past 12 months, with a waiting list for placement of students. The program serves students across the k-12 grade level as well as adults seeking better life opportunities through literacy. The literacy center offers systematic tutorial assistance in reading, writing, and oral language skills.

The San Bernardino County Probation Department has enrolled a few youth in their custody in the Literacy Center. The San Bernardino County Probation Department feels literacy is a necessarily for an individual to become a successful and productive member of Society.
